LIFE GoodWater IP represented at the Nordic Hydrological Conference 2026
From August 18 to 20, the Nordic Hydrological Conference 2026 (NHC2026) took place in Mariehamn, Åland Islands, Finland. The conference serves as a meeting platform for the Nordic and Baltic hydrological community, bringing together researchers, water-management experts and practitioners to exchange research results, methods and practical experience. The overarching theme of NHC2026 was “Digital Solutions in Hydrology and Sustainable Water Management.”

One less river obstacle: reconstruction of culvert in Auce river
The replacement of a culvert in Bēne Parish, Dobele Municipality, has been completed. The culvert is located on the Auce River, where it is crossed by the municipal road “Lāmnieki–Īle”. The construction of the new culvert has removed a barrier to fish migration and has reduced the risk of flooding in the surrounding area.
